Live streaming of the 2023 Women’s World Cup
Fox Sports is the US broadcaster of the Women’s World Cup, with all games broadcast on either FOX or FS1. The company says the entire tournament will be streamed on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app, but you’ll need to sign in with your TV provider to watch it in those places. Full replays are also available at these two locations, which is useful if you’re planning to miss the 3:30 ET kickoff.
Any live TV streaming service that carries the FOX networks — like Hulu, Sling or YouTube TV — will also show all the games as they happen. Most of these services offer a cloud-based DVR, so you can record all the games you want to sleep on.
Unlike what Turner does with certain March Madness games, there will be no free streaming option for matches during the Women’s World Cup. In order to watch some games without paying, you need an old-fashioned antenna that picks up the main channel in your area, FOX. For US fans, all of the US group stage matches will be shown on FOX, as well as all of the playoffs (from the quarterfinals to the finals). Of course, going this route means you’ll miss out on a lot of the action that airs on FS1 (35 games).
For UK fans, the BBC is the broadcaster for the Women’s World Cup. It plans to show 33 live games on BBC TV and iPlayer, as well as audio coverage of some matches on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds. In terms of streaming, all of these games are available live on iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app. The BBC offers highlights from all 64 matches in the tournament, available to watch after each one. The other 31 games will be shown on ITV.
